Sketch Club Utah

After lunch, Sketch Club Utah identifies a person of interest, usually for their unique or distinct characteristics. The subject is briefly studied without drawing. Once back from lunch and back at the drawing board, the subject is drawn from memory. The Utah franchise was started because of the success of the two California franchises.

This lady had some wild hair. And the masquer a was a bit Gothic, so, enjoy.

Well, thought since there is nothin better to do but draw, that I would catch up on some of the marks. Here they are.

Old Mark

This guy was neat not only for the wild white hair but also for the way he walked in. Like an old school bowlegged cowboy. Lotta fun.

Roosterboy

With his dreadlocks and giant beak this kid reminded us of a rooster showing his plumage.

Long time no mark

Wow! It's been a long time since anyone put up the mark. We are still doing the weekly sketch club, but with work and school we sort of forgot about getting the marks up. It has also been interesting that since Christmas we haven't had quite the selection of marks. They haven't been standing out nearly as much. Now we seem to run into a very generic group of people at the mall. Anyways, glad to post again after so long.

Caterpillar lip

This guy was really interesting. He shaved his moustache so that only a small line on the top of his lip was there. Really different.

Joe's Rendering

This was a great mark(only because there was really no one of interest @ the mall). I told the artist's that day "it's like fishing, you go all day with out a bite, then wham! you get the catch of the day."

Henry's Sketch

Here's the one we picked a few days before christmas. She was kinda interesting with the "Back to the Future" life preserver and tall fur lined boots.

Henry's Sketch

We had a good friend leave the company and move on to different pastures. So in tribute we chose him as our mark for this week. (Sorry Spencer, I know it doesn't look a thing like you ;)

Ian's Sketch

I remember her dressing very French with the beret and all. The jewelry, including glasses, were gold with white gold, but I don’t remember many other features other than that extra helping of food that found it’s way into the corner of her mouth. Focal point or clever placement of food to deter the sketch club’s focus? You make the call!

Ian's Sketch

Due to deadlines and the need to spend exorbitant amounts of money for the holidays, this is my piece for the sketch club. I couldn’t remember how many seagulls exploded in this guy’s hair, but it was enough to paint the tips pretty colors
